Navratri, the celebration of Divine Mother, as the positive overcomes the negative, through an awareness that our connection to source is found by going with-in, we find compassion, prosperity and knowledge.

Our celebration will be ritualistic and devotional in nature and is welcome to ALL. We will incorporate puja (prayer ceremony), kirtan (call and response singing), stories (to understand more fully the goddess energies) and community connections. Most importantly, this is a time of heart-felt celebration where we can tune into our hearts, heal and connect to the Divine aspects that live inside of all of us. This gathering will be lively and fun and a time for us all to remember what is really important in our lives!! PLEASE COME if you have never been to a celebration of this sort or if you have! ALL WELCOME!!

In addition to the Navratri Kirtan Celebration, there will be a blessing aspect to create sacredness around the new healing space we will gather in. F.LO.A.T recently opened to provide a healing for the physical, emotional mental and spiritual layers of our being via sensory deprivation tanks. READ MORE HERE.

We will gather above F.LO.A.T. in the second floor yoga space where Jill Duncan will soon lead yoga classes, workshops and Thai Massage trainings. Jill Duncan’s Thai Bodywork office is also located on this floor. Please support this new healing thread in the St. Louis community! A tour of F.LO.A.T. will be available for anyone interested in learning more about flotation tanks!

Navratri literally means “nine nights” and is a traditional celebration to worship and pay respects to Divine energy in the form of the universal mother “Durga”. Durga is considered to be the Divine Mother, or the mother of all. Navratri is divided into sets of 3 days to celebrate the 3 aspects of the Divine Goddess – days 1-3 to invoke the powerful force of Goddess Durga to destroy our impurities, days 4-6 to adore Goddess Lakshmi for her gifts of overflowing abundance and spiritual wealth, days 7-9 to call forth Goddess Saraswati for her flowing wisdom and knowledge. The beautiful part is that these Goddesses are what live in our hearts – the energies that we need to live as harmonious beings.
