Prerequisites: Thai Massage Fundamentals (required), CTB Fundamentals Online (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) and Functional Anatomy (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED – this course includes an online portion and in person training in Evanston…. Jill highly recommends taking the online portion before this course)

Course Description
This course establishes the core principles of working therapeutically in the Clinical Thai Bodywork method. We establish the foundation sequence for working with lower body issues with a treatment protocol that considers the best order of events for the muscles in this area. This protocol forms the basis for the lower body protocols of the CTB body area classes.
Topics covered include: finding taut fibers, palpation approaches, core techniques for working specifically including thumbing, palm pressing and elbow/forearm, how to approach stretching therapeutically, evaluating muscle function during the session, how to work with a protocol and much more.
